About 2converse

I learned Tarot and Numerology in 1997. I started my astrology studies in 1998. In the intervening years I have taken workshops attended classes and forums, with Mary Greer in Sydney, with Shelley Ackerman and Jeannie Reed at the The Quest Bookshop in New York. I have also created my own divination system that uses numbers, words and omens. Which is a combination of Tarot, Astrology and Numerolgy.

    Del,
The 3 numbers has blown my mind a couple times. I want to hear how that is evolving. But my real question this time around is about the anticipation surrounding 2012. I know a lot of this is hype and sensationalist–a Mayan system being filtered through the Western media and mental filter. These numbers are from the western calendar not the Mayan system. Do these numbers have any special meaning? And is 2012 turning up in your tools/intuitions as a year of some massive impact? It’s the year of the dragon after all!
    Great you started a page.
Best out in all and love to the family,
    Geoff

Hi Geoff. The 3 number reading blows my mind. I am using it in my readings as the opening key. I spent about 3 years working on the corespondence for for the 3 numbers. At first I was using numerology and and Tarot for the correspespondence. That was a bit limiting, so then I worked on a correspondence for the numbers from 0 to about 930. I looked at a few magical tables and realizing the correspondence I needed didn’t exist. So I worked on it for two years. You might remember the email I sent out a few years asking for three numbers and I would give free readings. Well that was part of the project. The other major change is that I use the system for the timing of events. I have had some success with that aspect.
I only know one branch of western Astrology. So I am looking at 2012 with a western mind. The biggest problem that I have with the Mayan horoscope, is that the language of the calendar may not be the language that present day Mayan’s are speaking. I could be totally wrong about this, but I am not certain that the calendar can be translated. In order to have a translation you need to have a person that speaks the language to be translated and the outcome language.
Also it helps if I person is versed in the subject of the translation.
However I think things are shifting. I don’t think 2012 will be the end of the world just the end of an old way of doing things. When Pluto was discovered it was in the sign of Cancer, which signifies the home. When we had the Global Financial Crisis Pluto was in Capricorn , which signifies large organizations, which is the polar opposite sign to cancer. You also remember that Pluto got demoted by Astronomers. Which is a beautiful symetry.
I am not certain about what you mean by the numbers not being from the Mayan system. I have a friend who is in Guatemela and I had two dates that came out of two seperate readings. Which is very unusual because out of all the reading I have done for myself these were the only two I asked about. It turns out the dates were the end of a count in the Mayan system, which is a 1 in 20 chance but both together is more likee 1 in 400. So I don’t know the Mayan System but I think there is a thread that runs through all systems.
Yeah I am finding my intuition is getting stronger. I have had Clairvoyant, Clairaudient, Clairsentient and and I smelled something psychically, and had a telepathic experience all with in the space of a year. I wasn’t trying they just happened.
Yeah I am looking forward to 2012 because it is a Dragon Year and I am a Dragon. So it will be return of the Dragon.
    Thanks. Take care, Del

Hi guys! interesting stuff here. I have been in Guatemala for several years now, studying intensely with Maya elders. Del- As for speaking the language of the calendar, to a certain extent, you are right. Reading and writing was lost to the Maya around the time of the Spanish invasion. The Maya of today speak 23 different languages….just here in Guatemala. The writing system was universal, which is pretty cool, and probably one of the reasons that Western minds have not been able to crack it yet.
As for the present day understanding and Count of the Maya calendarS, (there are over 17 still being followed today) the Maya way of life, wisdom, spirituality etc. is an Oral tradition….. elders have kept an accurate count of these 17 or more calendars. They do speak of the “time of no time” during the invasion when only the LARGER counts were lost.
As I am sure you both are aware, the Maya concept of Time and Space is very different from our current understanding, nothing really ends, nothing really begins; life is cyclical. (Note to Geoff that the Mayan languages use a numerical root to express time.)
